Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing engineering company located in Dubai Investment Park 2 (DIP 2). They are currently seeking a highly skilled General Accountant with extensive Odoo experience to join their finance team.

Job Title:

General Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
3. Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
4. Reconciliations: Perform bank and account reconciliations.
5. Odoo ERP Management: Utilize Odoo ERP for accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry and report generation.
6. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and federal tax regulations, including VAT filing.
7. Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits.
8. General Ledger: Maintain and update the general ledger.
9. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
10. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting department.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
4. Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
5. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
