General Accountant

General Accountant:

We are looking for a detail-oriented General Accountant to perform accounting tasks in collaboration with internal departments. Main responsibilities will include conducting audits and tax returns on the accuracy of our financial information, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to regulations, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations. Must demonstrate a sound knowledge of best practices in general ledger accounting and experience in a similar role.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Holding professional accounting licenses such as CA, ACCA, or CPA.
2. Bachelor's degree holder with a proven track record of academic or work experience in the Finance sector.
3. Not less than 4 years of experience in finalizing financial statements and tax reporting.
4. Well-versed in financial reporting.
5. Experienced in using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
6. Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
7. Excellent mathematical skills.
8. Time management skills.
9. Ability to remain confidential.
10. Well-experienced & efficient in handling payables & receivables.
11. Skilled in using Microsoft Excel to prepare graphs and multiple reports.
12. Well-organized and keeps tasks updated status. Avoids backlog and ensures no pending tasks at hand.
13. With strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate well within the organization.
14. Willing to relocate to other emirates.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
2. Analyze balance sheets, income, cash flow statements, and other reports to assess accuracy.
3. Conducting internal audits.
4. Overseeing tax payments.
5. Prepare/Supervise accurate reports on all the financial closing statements of the company.
6. Preparing budgets for the organization.
7. Assist the top-level management in making critical business decisions by providing accurate financial assessments.
8. Monitoring and reporting on accounting inconsistencies.
9. Keeping up-to-date with financial policies, practices, and regulations.
10. Complying with state and federal tax regulations.
