Job description

Disassemble and inspect gearboxes to diagnose wear and damage, ensuring precise identification of issues for effective repairs.
Perform detailed cleaning and refurbishment of gearbox components, utilizing specialized tools and techniques to restore optimal functionality.
Reassemble gearboxes with a focus on precision, following manufacturer specifications to guarantee reliability and safety in operation.
Conduct quality control tests on overhauled gearboxes, including pressure and performance checks, to certify adherence to industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed, providing thorough documentation for future reference and compliance.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop solutions for complex gearbox issues, fostering a team-oriented environment.
Stay updated on advancements in gearbox technology and repair methods, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge to improve service delivery.
Implement safety protocols and best practices in the workshop, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved.
Assist in the training and mentorship of junior technicians, sharing expertise to cultivate a skilled workforce.
Manage inventory of gearbox components and tools, ensuring that all necessary materials are readily available for efficient workflow.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics for various gearbox models.
Completion of relevant certifications such as ASE or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to the trade.
Strong mechanical aptitude with a thorough understanding of gearbox assembly and disassembly techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing complex mechanical failures accurately and efficiently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
