Job description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone.
  2. Register patients according to established protocols.
  3. Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance.
  4. Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information.
  5. Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy.
  6. Maintain and manage patient records.
  7. Move patients through appointments as scheduled.
  8. Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries.
  9. Transfer calls as required.
  10. Collect co-pays and payments.
  11. Report statistics as required.
  12. Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals.
  13. Deal with incoming and outgoing post.
  14. Complete other clerical duties as assigned.
  15. Maintain stock of forms and office supplies.
  16. Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean.
  17. Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
