Job Purpose

The Facilitator in the Education & Culture Department plays a crucial role in supporting the lead manager to ensure the delivery of exceptional educational experiences for all visitors to the pavilions. This position is integral to the department's mission of enhancing visitor engagement, fostering a culture of learning, and optimizing visitation rates.

Main Responsibilities

Educational Program Delivery: Provide comprehensive facilitation of a wide array of educational programs including internal and outreach programs. Tailor these programs to diverse audience groups such as school groups, university groups, corporate teams, children, and families participating in various departmental initiatives.

Program Execution:

  1. Conduct engaging demonstrations, captivating science shows, and immersive workshops featuring interactive elements like storytelling, role-playing, and puppetry.
  2. Facilitate engaging team-building activities specifically designed for corporate delegates, ensuring that these activities align with corporate objectives and provide meaningful experiences.
  3. Deliver edutaining (educational plus entertaining) workshops specifically designed for Expo City Dubai Camps. These workshops should engage and entertain while imparting valuable educational content.

Content Mastery: Develop proficiency in understanding and effectively communicating topics including Sustainability, Robotics, Mobility, Culture, Gender Equality, and other relevant subjects associated with Expo City Dubai's pavilions. Deliver experiences that captivate visitors and foster active participation.

Visitor Engagement: Enhance visitor engagement through interactive and educational activities, ensuring high-quality experiences that align with the department's objectives.

Training: Undergo intensive training sessions prior to being approved to deliver all programs. This training will ensure that facilitators are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to execute the programs effectively.

Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with the Programme Delivery & Operations Manager and other team members to ensure seamless execution of educational programs. Provide feedback and reports on program effectiveness and visitor engagement.

Experience

  • Proven experience in workshop facilitation, conducting team-building activities, and delivering educational programs.
  • Good engagement skills with children and diverse audiences.
  • Strong team player.
  • Proficient in delivering content on various educational topics.

Specifications of Work Environment

  • Required to work up to 6 hours a day.
  • Reliable and flexible to work on an ad hoc schedule with short notice.
  • Shifts may include working early mornings, late nights, weekends, or public holidays.
