Your day to day

  1. Greet guests and present them with the menu.
  2. Inform guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.
  3. Suggest food and beverages to the guest and try to upsell.
  4. Take food and beverage orders from the guest on the order taking pads.
  5. Accept payments, issue receipts, and return change.
  6. Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor/manager.
  7. Fill in for absent staff as needed in any of the F&B areas within the hotel.
  8. Punch the order on the POS machine and ensure to enter the special requirements made by the guest while ordering food (e.g., No Garlic, less spicy, without egg, etc.).
  9. Communicate with the guest and provide assistance with their queries.
  10. Work as a team to complete all job tasks in a timely manner.
  11. Observe guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.
  12. Promptly respond to guests with any additional requests.
  13. Maintain a proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
  14. Properly open and pour wine at the table.
  15. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  16. Understand and communicate products and services available at the hotel, usually located in a desirable vacation spot, that offers fine dining, exceptional service, activities unavailable at most other properties, and many amenities.
  17. Must have some familiarity with basic cooking knowledge and complete menu knowledge for their restaurant/area.
  18. Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and completing financial transactions.
  19. Print closing reports and drop the cash.
