Cigna Global Individual Health is seeking to expand its planning & analysis capabilities. Most notable, the business is looking for a dedicated resource in a finance capacity to deliver robust planning, deeper analytics, proficient cost measurements and strengthened internal controls.

This role would be critical to GIH expansion aspirations with the opportunity to directly influence business decisions and empower senior leaders to set clear strategies with comprehensive financial plans, methods for accountability, and clear vision on what success looks like.

  1. Robust financial forecasting of business results and planning support for business expansion and strategic initiatives.
  2. Deep analysis of financial drivers and business metrics and communicating the key messages to influence business decisions.
  3. Key stakeholder management:
  • IHDS: Analysing recharges, allocations, and capacity plans to drive efficiencies and reporting accuracy.
  • Claims: Evaluating trends in claims volume, payments, provider trends, and understanding opportunities for cost containment.
  • Actuarial: Aligning financial planning with key actuarial insights.
  • Sales & Marketing: Identifying key trends in sales patterns and performance as well as tying financial outcomes to marketing priorities.
  • Support build of quarterly forecast submissions and the annual operating plan.
  • Oversee CIMS financial reporting and planning, working closely with local accounting teams to ensure accurate sharing of information.
  • Entity analysis, providing detailed insights to be used for Board and ManCo meetings.
  • Building strong visual PowerPoints and Dashboards that can be easily interpreted and used by senior leadership.
  • Provide deep analysis of GIH operational data and augment data analytics with key financial and actuarial principles to steer the outputs towards alignment with broader business goals and needs.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of business proposals spanning all functions of GIH.
  • Skills and Experience

    • Part Qualified or a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
    • Four years or more of financial analysis or related experience.
    • General knowledge of insurance products, procedures and systems for specific functional area.
    • Health insurance industry knowledge preferred.
    • Works with matrix partners.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
    • Experience of working in a corporate and matrix environment essential, ideally with technical knowledge of financial services industry.
