Forklift Operator

Job Responsibilities:

1. Personally responsible for own safety and conducting oneself to the standards of Company Policies and Procedures.
2. Always wear and ensure that everyone around you wears proper PPE.
3. Safe operation of forklift when performing any duties involved in moving equipment or materials.
4. Recognize, understand, and use proper hand signals when operating forklift and ensure that the people working with you also understand and use the proper signals.
5. Maintain a positive attitude and treat others as you would like to be treated.
6. Ensure understanding of, and compliance with, the permit to work system.
7. Develop and implement Job Safety Analyses and prepare risk assessments for critical tasks; implement applicable control measures including using Stop Work Authority and the Permit to Work system.
8. Participate in the Safety Training Observation Program (STOP).
9. Attend weekly operational and pre-tour safety meetings.
10. Participate in safety training and all safety drills at the location.
11. Report incidents, accidents, and near misses to your direct supervisor and assist in incident investigations.
12. Maintain good housekeeping at the location at all times.
13. Record equipment operating information on daily reports.
14. Maintain spare parts, oil, and grease inventories.
15. Operate front-end loaders with forks, bucket, and miscellaneous attachments.
16. Organize, store, and inventory equipment on the drilling pad.
17. Monitor and fuel auxiliary equipment.
18. Deliver tools and equipment from the drilling pad to the drilling rig.
19. Alert personnel when wildlife is on location.
20. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on front-end loaders.
21. Maintain clear communications with relief, Driller, Rig Manager, and crew members.
22. Follow company and client operating and reporting procedures.
