Foreman - Plumbing and Drainage

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing and Drainage Foreman to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of plumbing and drainage works on MEP construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to ensure quality and timely delivery of plumbing and drainage systems as per project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all plumbing and drainage works on-site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and approved method statements.
• Lead and manage a team of plumbers and helpers, ensuring efficient work allocation and productivity.
• Monitor daily site activities, track progress, and report to the MEP Supervisor/Engineer.
• Interpret construction drawings and resolve technical issues related to plumbing and drainage installations.
• Ensure proper installation of piping systems, fittings, pumps, valves, water heaters, sanitary fixtures, and drainage networks (soil, waste, rainwater).
• Inspect materials delivered to the site and ensure they conform to project requirements.
• Liaise with other trades and contractors to avoid clashes and ensure smooth workflow.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on site.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure quality control and participate in inspections and testing (e.g., hydrostatic pressure tests).
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, manpower, and materials used.
• Assist in preparing and following up on snag lists and project handovers.

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma or Certification in Plumbing/MEP or equivalent.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in plumbing and drainage systems within MEP projects, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and schematics.
• Familiar with installation and testing procedures of water supply and drainage systems.
• Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with safety practices and permit-to-work systems.
