Food Safety Technician

Job brief

This position is responsible for the development, implementation, measurement, maintenance, and monitoring of Food Safety/Food Defense programs such as HACCP and ISO.

Responsibilities

1. Develops, implements, monitors and updates facility Food Safety/Food Defense programs.
2. Monitors and verifies facility Food Safety/Food Defense programs.
3. Maintains complete and accurate records for verification of HACCP compliance.
4. Manages regulatory visits, from Municipality and Inspection agencies, if applicable.
5. Directs, plans and conducts internal GMP/Food Safety audits. Verifies and documents required corrective actions for internal GMP/Food Safety audits.
6. Leads Customer and Third Party audits, including communication, follow up actions, and documentation.
7. Provides training for all plant personnel on HACCP, GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Allergen Control. This includes new employee training as well as annual refresher training.
8. Directs and documents regular Food Defense Team meetings and coordinates efforts of members to accomplish team goals.
9. Reviews and monitors all HACCP deviations to aid in corrective action decision making and ensure corrective actions are completed and documented accurately.
10. Assists the Corporate HACCP/Food Safety Manager with development, maintenance and verification of Corporate HACCP/Food Safety/Food Defense programs.
11. Maintains knowledge of current regulations.

Skills

1. Must be based in the UAE.
2. Must have UAE work experience.
3. Experience with Beverage Industry HACCP/GMP programs.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Effective analytical, problem solving, administrative and organizational skills.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
