Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Food Safety Leadership
- Define food safety objectives and implement policies, procedures, and strategies to meet organizational targets.
- Overhaul and maintain EKFC's Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to achieve and sustain BRC accreditation while adhering to Dubai Municipality, HACCP, FSSC 22000, HALAL, and other global standards.
Team Management and Development
- Lead, guide, and mentor the food safety and microbiology team to ensure products and operations consistently meet the highest food safety standards.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all functional areas.
Compliance and Audits
- Perform regular audits to identify risks, address non-compliance, and ensure seamless operations.
- Manage Customer, Third-Party, and Regulatory audits, providing precise, real-time records to demonstrate compliance and readiness.
Technical Expertise
- Provide critical technical inputs for HACCP studies and support Operations during product launches, new product development (NPD), and production runs to ensure compliance with FSMS and customer specifications.
- Regularly review customer guidelines and legislative updates, incorporating them into existing systems (e.g., FSSC, BRC, HALAL, ISO 17025).
Collaboration and Innovation
- Partner with Department Heads to recommend and implement improvements in work procedures across all areas covered by FSMS certifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain and update food safety systems, driving innovation to improve processes, efficiency, and compliance.
Pest Control and Risk Management
- Manage pest control programs in compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, ensuring EKFC meets the highest hygiene and safety standards.
- Anticipate risks, provide mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Specialized training in HACCP and GFSI benchmarked standards (e.g., FSSC 22000, BRC).
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of managerial or supervisory experience in food safety within catering, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
- Experience in managing microbiology laboratory systems is highly preferred.
- Proven expertise in implementing and maintaining FSSC 22000 and BRC standards.
