Join Our Dynamic Team!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Health & Safety Officer to oversee the health and safety measures across multiple restaurant brands in diverse demographic areas within the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations, managing municipality inspections, and maintaining high audit scores.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Health & Safety Compliance:

    Develop, implement, and maintain food safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and international regulations. Ensure all restaurant locations comply with health and safety standards set by the Company and authorities.

  2. Municipality Inspections:

    Liaise with municipal authorities and ensure timely compliance with inspection requirements. Address and rectify any issues identified during inspections promptly.

  3. Audits:

    Conduct regular internal audits to ensure all food safety practices are followed. Coordinate with operations team on implementing corrective actions and preventive measures. Ensure all staff are trained and adhere to food safety protocols.

  4. Training and Development:

    Develop and deliver onsite training programs for staff on food safety and hygiene practices. Keep up to date with current health and safety regulations and ensure the team is informed and trained accordingly.

  5. Incident Management:

    Investigate food safety incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain records of all incidents and follow up on corrective actions.

  6. Documentation and Reporting:

    Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, training, and incidents. Prepare and present reports on food safety performance to management.

  7. Coordination and Communication:

    Coordinate with different departments to ensure integrated food safety management. Communicate effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders regarding food safety issues and improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE food safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-brand environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
