What Does a Food and Beverage Director Do?
The Food and Beverage Director oversees the entire F&B department, including restaurants, bars, banquet operations, and culinary leadership. You will ensure profitability, implement brand standards, manage budgets, and develop high-performing teams while enhancing the guest experience across all dining venues.

What Are the Key Responsibilities?

  1. Lead all food and beverage outlets and banquet operations as independent profit centers
  2. Monitor outlet performance, costs, and revenue to maintain profitability
  3. Collaborate with outlet managers and chefs to drive results and improve service quality
  4. Ensure full compliance with brand standards, hygiene, and service protocols
  5. Create and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and marketing plans for each F&B unit
  6. Conduct regular performance evaluations, departmental meetings, and briefings
  7. Implement training programs for management and frontline teams to support growth
  8. Maintain excellent guest relationships and resolve service-related issues
  9. Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and adjust strategies accordingly
  10. Ensure inventory control, cost-efficiency, and compliance with hotel policies
  11. Represent the F&B department on the hotel s Executive Committee
  12. Support sustainability, hygiene, and appearance guidelines aligned with brand values
  13. Identify and mentor emerging talent for leadership development within the group

What Skills Are Needed for a Food and Beverage Director in Ras Al Khaimah?

Education:
Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or related field

Experience:
Proven track record of at least 10 years in F&B leadership, including experience at a five-star hotel

Skills:

  1. Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities
  2. Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities
  3. Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of guest expectations
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to adapt to market changes and implement innovative service concepts
