What Does a Food and Beverage Director Do?
The Food and Beverage Director oversees the entire F&B department, including restaurants, bars, banquet operations, and culinary leadership. You will ensure profitability, implement brand standards, manage budgets, and develop high-performing teams while enhancing the guest experience across all dining venues.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead all food and beverage outlets and banquet operations as independent profit centers
- Monitor outlet performance, costs, and revenue to maintain profitability
- Collaborate with outlet managers and chefs to drive results and improve service quality
- Ensure full compliance with brand standards, hygiene, and service protocols
- Create and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and marketing plans for each F&B unit
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, departmental meetings, and briefings
- Implement training programs for management and frontline teams to support growth
- Maintain excellent guest relationships and resolve service-related issues
- Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Ensure inventory control, cost-efficiency, and compliance with hotel policies
- Represent the F&B department on the hotel s Executive Committee
- Support sustainability, hygiene, and appearance guidelines aligned with brand values
- Identify and mentor emerging talent for leadership development within the group
What Skills Are Needed for a Food and Beverage Director in Ras Al Khaimah?
Education:
Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or related field
Experience:
Proven track record of at least 10 years in F&B leadership, including experience at a five-star hotel

- Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities
- Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of guest expectations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
