Job Opportunity: Cook Assistant

A healthcare facility a few miles north of Crescent City, CA is looking for a Cook Assistant to join their team!

Cook Assistant Pay: $14 - $17/hourly

Cook Assistant Duties:

1. Helps the head Cook prepare up to 30 servings of food to healthcare residents
2. Executes and maintains a sanitary kitchen space
3. Perform basic math
4. Starts off part-time (20 hours/weekly) and eventually transitions to full-time
5. Opportunity to be promoted into a Cook position

Shifts Available: 2 shifts available: 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Cook Assistant Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a healthcare or school setting preferred, but restaurant experience is also accepted
2. Ability to learn food textures and cooking techniques
3. General Food Handlers care certification is required prior to start ($10 course online comprising 10 questions)
