· Receive, create master data of fixed assets in SAP
· Assign tag numbers to fixed assets
· Conduct periodic/quarterly/annual physical inventory counts of fixed assets as applicable.
· Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
· Monitor and track the completion of projects, capitalizing costs into fixed asset accounts upon completion.
· Reconcile and check different system reports related to fixed assets and reconcile them with the general ledger.
· Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
· Calculate asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which asset write-offs are applicable.
· Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
· Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.
Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance/ Accountancy/ Commerce or equivalent course.
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in related field; sufficient experience in handling fixed assets accounting, adjustments in the books of accounts, and inventory count. Possess good communication skills (UAE driving license is preferred).
