Your Day to Day:

As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for developing training and fitness education programs for our guests and maximizing their experience while using the fitness center.

Some of your responsibilities are:

1. Organize and supervise regular gym/fitness related activities and events to maximize members' enjoyment/use of the fitness studio and to stay ahead of the competition.
2. Develop workout programs and health promotion programs according to hotel standards and safe industry practices.
3. Develop and maintain professionally safe and effective fitness procedures, programs, and activities in the fitness studio, ensuring proper fitness practice at all times.
4. Monitor exercising customers and provide fitness assessment and feedback.
5. Assist guests in safe exercising and proper body alignment, provide personal training, and prescribe workout programs for guests.
6. Co-ordinate the exercise program and fitness studio usage, continually seeking ways to introduce new ideas to maximize revenues.
7. Ensure cleaning and maintenance of the fitness studio equipment as per standards and that equipment is always in good working order.
8. Welcome all guests to the gym and provide a gym orientation, including basic fitness assessment.
9. Be knowledgeable on gym equipment, exercises, and overall health and wellness to guide guests accordingly.
10. Understand and strictly adhere to the rules and regulations established in the hotel’s policy on fire, hygiene, and health & safety.
11. Take initiative to ensure guest safety and satisfaction, being flexible with taking on other responsibilities as required by hotel operations.

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

1. Qualification in Fitness is mandatory, with a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructor/Gym.
2. Diploma in Health, Fitness, and Exercise Instruction.
3. Previous experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel within the Middle East.
4. Adequate English language communication skills are required.
