Fitness Instructor

Responsibilities:

1. Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
2. Supervise and ensure all fitness services protocols and procedures are followed.
3. Ensure the cleanliness of the fitness area, including all equipment.
4. Ensure the smooth operation of all equipment through periodic service checks and reporting work orders promptly.
5. Plan and conduct fitness exercise sessions, personal training sessions, group training experiences, and in-service education sessions.
6. Maintain thorough knowledge of all strength and cardio equipment and their programs, as well as the proper use, alignment, and safety.
7. Maintain professional certifications while continually pursuing a greater degree of knowledge and expertise.
8. Provide a high level of guest satisfaction through effective communication.
9. Assist in the recruitment, development, and training of all fitness staff.
10. Ensure proper staffing and scheduling in accordance with productivity guidelines.
11. Balance operational, administrative, and Heartist needs.
12. Follow departmental policies and procedures.
13. Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a Fitness Instructor required.
2. Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred.
3. Certification in a fitness-related discipline preferred.
4. Computer literate.
5. Experienced in group classes (e.g., Aqua classes, HIIT, Boot camp, Boxing, etc.).
6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
8. Highly responsible and reliable.
9. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
10. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
