The Operations Manager oversees all operational aspects of fit-out projects, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and client satisfaction. This role involves managing resources, coordinating teams, and implementing strategic plans to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:
    • Plan, organize, and oversee fit-out projects from inception to completion.
    • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Monitor project progress and resolve issues or delays promptly.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate project teams, including site supervisors and subcontractors.
    • Conduct regular meetings to review progress, allocate resources, and address challenges.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  3. Resource Management:
    • Manage project resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and manpower.
    • Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
    • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
    • Address any quality issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  5. Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
    • Communicate project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
    • Strive to achieve high levels of client satisfaction and cultivate long-term relationships.
  6. Health, Safety, and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Promote and enforce safe work practices on-site and in accordance with company policies.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  7. Financial Management:
    • Monitor project budgets and financial performance.
    • Control project costs and expenses to align with budgetary constraints.
    • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management review.
  8. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in fit-out or construction industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction safety standards.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

  • Typically office-based with frequent visits to project sites.
  • May require travel depending on project locations.
  • Work hours may vary depending on project deadlines and client requirements.
