Job Description

• Lead the preparation of detailed MEP cost estimates for fit-out projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to assess project specifications and scope, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Conduct thorough take-offs from drawings and specifications, utilizing industry software for precise quantification.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to gather accurate pricing and maintain updated market knowledge.
• Analyze and review subcontractor bids, ensuring compliance with project requirements and budget constraints.
• Prepare comprehensive bids and proposals, presenting them clearly to stakeholders and clients to secure project approvals.
• Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the construction phase, providing regular updates and variance reports.
• Train and mentor junior estimators, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
• Implement best practices in estimation processes, continuously improving methodologies and tools used.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, ensuring all estimates comply with current standards and practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field, is essential.
• A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in MEP estimation within fit-out projects is required.
• Experience in high-rise and commercial fit-out projects will be considered a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in estimation software like AutoCAD, Revit, and specialized MEP estimation tools is essential.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are critical for accurate estimation and risk assessment.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional language skills in Arabic being a strong plus.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to effectively liaise with clients and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage estimation teams and drive project success.
• A proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines are essential.
