We are seeking an experienced Fire Detection Systems- Technical Application Engineer to join our team in Dubai.
What You'll Do
- Assist customers and consultants in the design and specification of fire detection systems, including equipment design/selection, providing a full technical turnkey solution to any site requirement.
- Expert in fire detection system design, correctly siting equipment to meet local legislative requirements and adequately protect the assessed risk.
- Produce detailed arrangement drawings, schematics, and bill of materials while ensuring adherence to specific equipment design parameters for correct system operation.
- Understand the wide range of Eaton solutions and design new systems as well as upgrades in a customer-centric way (knowledge of legacy and other manufacturer equipment is highly desirable).
- Visit customers and train and assist them in using Eaton Fire Detection solutions.
- Help solve technical issues as a first point of contact before calling in the technical support team.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest electrical codes and specifically Fire Detection standards in the geographic region.
- Build a good working knowledge of commercial support systems and Eaton commercial operating methods to provide exceptional pre-sales support to the customer.
- Author and critique technical manuals, and be involved in the production of commercial and technical documentation to accompany new product introductions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a reputed institute.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Fire Detection Systems.
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of EN, UL, and other applicable codes and standards in the region.
- Proficient in design software.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
