Umergence is a premier broker-dealer specializing in private placements and alternative investments. Their representatives provide expertise in deal structure advisory, institutional capital placements, M&A advisory, early to late-stage direct investments, and late-stage secondary opportunities.

Leveraging the proprietary data management systems, they ensure efficient supervision, seamless operations, and 24-hour access to critical deal information. Their mission is to equip stakeholders with the tools and insights they need to facilitate smooth transactions from inception to closing.

Kathleen Durusoy is an international venture capitalist and investor with a strong network across the United States and the Middle East, and the current Managing Director of Umergence. She is a founding director at Transition Fuel NG Acquisition Corporation, a Canadian company focused on acquiring natural gas assets in North America, where she has facilitated over $100M in investment. As the managing director of Simply Optimal Investments, she helps post-revenue startups raise between $4M and $20M in funding. Durusoy's diverse background spans healthcare, logistics, commodities, and Turkish real estate investments. She holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses and has extensive operational and investment experience in both domestic and Middle Eastern markets.

Kathleen is seeking a highly articulate and professional Financial Sales Representative to generate and qualify leads for institutional investors. This role requires an experienced individual who can confidently engage with financial institutions and high-net-worth investors, setting up calls with our leadership. The representative will be responsible for outbound prospecting, handling receptionists and gatekeepers professionally, and maintaining accurate CRM records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outbound calls to institutional investors and financial firms with $15M in assets.

  • Engage confidently with secretaries, receptionists, and investment professionals to schedule meetings with Umergence's leadership.

  • Introduce Umergence's investment opportunities professionally and persuasively.

  • Develop and refine outreach scripts ensuring a highly professional and official tone.

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM, tracking engagement and follow-ups.

  • Navigate multiple time zones, prioritizing outreach to the MENA region (10 am - 6 pm Abu Dhabi time).

Qualifications & Skills:
  • 3 years of experience in sales, preferably financial sales or institutional outreach.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Strong cold calling outreach and communication skills with a professional and articulate speaking style.

  • Confidence in speaking with high-level financial professionals and institutional investors.

  • A self-starter who can take initiative, work independently, and hold themselves accountable to meeting goals without requiring constant oversight.

  • Comfortable testing different sales techniques to identify the most effective approaches.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, ensuring streamlined outreach efforts and efficient lead management.

  • Background in finance, private equity, or alternative investments is preferred but not required.

  • Arabic or Farsi language skills are a plus.

Working hours:

This is a full-time remote position; you'll need to navigate multiple time zones, prioritizing outreach to the MENA region (for example, 10 am - 6 pm Abu Dhabi time).
