Financial Planning Manager

The Financial Planning Manager is responsible for delivering value-added analysis in monthly executive packs and ad hoc MI analytics which highlights revenue/cost drivers, balance sheet matrices, margin analysis, peer analysis, and an overview of overall business performance.

He/She is also responsible for preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts of the bank in close coordination with various businesses and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly insights on financial performance towards better evaluation of business performance in EXCO presentations, including but not limited to balance sheet analysis, yield analysis, P&L analysis, and key ratios with commentary on drivers.
• Support the preparation of analytical reports and presentations for the Board of Directors and other senior management meetings by ensuring they are insightful and key strategic themes get highlighted.
• Support in preparation and communication of top-down strategic guidance for annual planning and regular forecasting process by applying the Bank’s strategic and financial priorities to each area of the business.
• Prepare and circulate daily reports on cash, liquidity, and deposits position to the Senior Management Team and highlight any risk areas.
• Provide detailed analytics around capital and liquidity ratios, Net Profit Margin including the impact of macro-economic factors as well as business performance.
• Provide detailed analytical review of forward-looking scenarios, business proposals for products, Capex, Opex, etc.
• Perform ad hoc analysis based on internal or external data sources that deliver relevant strategic or financial insight for the bank.
• Develop an internal network within the bank and with vendors managing the Core banking system to leverage for information to inform strategic and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance controls and create a work environment conducive to the development of the team’s potential.
• Provide data to ALCO consultants based on agreed formats and support in preparing the monthly ALCO pack in collaboration with other team members and departments.
