Roles and responsibilities

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will oversee the development, analysis, and execution of financial plans and strategies within the organization. This role aims to ensure effective tracking of profitability through variance analysis, developing mitigation roadmap & strategic decision-making thereby contributing to the company's financial health and long-term growth.
This role provides valuable data driven insights, identifies and maintains risks and opportunities scorecard on a rolling basis, and collaborates across departments to align financial goals in line with overall business objectives. Supervises a team of financial analysts and communicates financial results to stakeholders.
Role Profile

  • Responsible for the implementation of financial plans and strategies across the Assets, validating alignment with overall Asset management Business Unit (AMBU) objectives and market trends.
  • Act as a Business partner with various mall managers, marketing, and leasing cluster leads to identify and develop tactics or initiatives that serve key operational, commercial, and financial targets. Identifying potential risks and opportunities on a rolling basis along with a mitigation roadmap and apprising management in a timely manner.
  • Lead the preparation of reports and presentations to communicate financial insights and recommendations to mall management and other stakeholders.
  • Lead discussions and collaborate with all MAF Group companies and other Business units in respect of planning deliverables, project feasibilities, and market insights.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of lease agreements, tenant mix adjustments, and capital projects to assess their impact on revenue and profitability. Collaborate closely with leasing professionals and the Asset Management team.
  • Supervise and monitor the pre-close review with Global Solution (GS) teams to ensure timely and accurate financial results are produced that reflect the true financial condition for all fiscal periods.

Desired candidate profile
  • Lead the planning exercises (budgeting and forecasting) for consolidated UAE assets in specialty leasing and marketing while simultaneously conducting monthly variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and proactive decision-making.
  • Continuously develop and enhance planning systems to automate standard, ad hoc management reports, to streamline the forecasting and budgeting processes whilst promoting the use of data visualization tools like Power BI for financial and non-financial analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in finance or equivalent. Professional qualifications such as MBA/ CPA / CMA / ACCA etc., are highly desirable, preferably with experience in the shopping malls industry.
  • Advanced user of BI Tools like Power BI, Tableau.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, and Yardi.
  • Sound working knowledge and application of local and international financial standards e.g., IFRS etc.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques specific to shopping malls.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of post-qualification experience working within a finance support function, with exposure to financial and strategic planning responsibilities.
  • Financial literacy and strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex retail and leasing data.
