Job Description & Summary
A career in our Financial Due Diligence team within Deals Transaction Services offers the chance to help organizations maximize the value of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital markets. We support leading companies in executing successful deals by providing data-driven insights that guide them toward the best outcomes. Our team works on both buy-side and sell-side due diligence, helping corporate and financial buyers gain confidence by analyzing and validating key financial, commercial, operational, and strategic assumptions.

What to Consider Before Applying:

This role is based in our Dubai, United Arab Emirates office. Prior experience in the Retail & Consumer Markets sector within a Transaction Services environment is required.

Role Responsibilities

As a Director within our Financial Due Diligence Deals team, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy through to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Lead strategy and drive business development
2. Provide technical advice across various disciplines
3. Build strong internal networks to identify and act on opportunities
4. Identify key issues and opportunities with clients
5. Manage client communications and relationships
6. Lead and deliver projects that exceed expectations
7. Oversee large projects, manage risks, and ensure high-quality output
8. Manage project financials and engagement profitability
9. Train and coach team members to support their development
10. Conduct financial due diligence and write reports for corporate, banking, and private equity clients
11. Provide valuation analysis to help boards and management make informed decisions
12. Contribute to proposals and tailor solutions for clients
13. Support internal initiatives like digitization and industry specialization

The Requirements

1. 13+ years of experience in M&A, ideally from a professional services background with a focus on the retail & consumer markets sector
2. Experience in buy-side, sell-side, and vendor due diligence, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia
3. Specialization in transaction advisory services and due diligence, with experience working with large sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) in the Middle East as a plus
4. Strong understanding of due diligence and risk management processes
5. Business development mindset and ability to build internal and external networks
6. Experience with large corporate clients and private equity (PE) firms
7. CPA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification required
8. Proven ability to manage multi-resource projects and deliver significant business results
9. Skilled at mentoring and guiding junior team members
10. Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills for diverse audiences
11. Ability to manage projects and deliver tasks on time with a focus on ownership and accountability
12. Arabic language skills are a plus
13. Willingness to travel 20% of the time for work, with flexibility for overnight stays
