Financial Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team to support decision-making and drive business performance.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, taxation, treasury, and compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure the company’s financial stability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance their skills and performance.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function.
• Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and drive overall business success.
• Identify and manage financial risks to the business, ensuring robust controls and processes are in place.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards in the UAE.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies as required.
• Act as a business partner to the CEO and other senior leaders, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with the content, marketing, and sales teams to align financial goals with business objectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the media industry.
• Strong understanding of the media industry’s financial dynamics, including revenue models, cost structures, and industry-specific financial challenges.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
• Experience working in the UAE or the broader Middle East region is preferred
• Fluent Arabic speaker a preference
