Position: Financial Controller (Consolidation Specialist)

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Consolidation Specialist to join one of our reputed clients in the UAE, a prominent organization with multiple subsidiaries. This role is pivotal in ensuring precise and compliant financial reporting across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Consolidation Expertise: Utilize your extensive experience in financial consolidation within a group structure to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

2. Managing Submissions: Efficiently handle multiple financial submissions from various subsidiaries ensuring precision and adherence to compliance standards.

3. Statutory Reporting at HQ: Oversee statutory reporting in a Headquarter role ensuring all financial statements meet regulatory requirements.

4. IFRS Knowledge: Apply your strong technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) effectively in financial reporting.

5. Accounting Memos: Prepare and review accounting memos with proficiency demonstrating:

   • Deep understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
   • Excellent research skills to stay current with accounting regulations.
   • Strong analytical skills for assessing complex accounting issues.
   • Clear technical writing for articulating accounting issues and recommendations.
   • Attention to detail for accurate calculations and references.
   • Problem-solving skills to propose practical solutions.
   • Familiarity with internal accounting policies and procedures.
   • Effective communication skills for stakeholder discussions.
   • Knowledge of financial software for enhanced reporting and analysis.
   • Understanding of ethical considerations in accounting decisions.
   • Ability to collaborate with other departments.

6. Subsidiary Collaboration: Work closely with subsidiary finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with group policies.

Qualifications:

• CA/CPA/ACCA
• Proven experience in financial consolidation within a group structure.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing accounting memos.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
