Job Description:
A company is looking for an experienced Financial Controller who can independently manage the finance function. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in finance, accounting, and administrative tasks and be well-versed in the financial regulations of the UAE, including VAT compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    Oversee and manage the company's overall financial health and cash flow.
    Maintain daily cash flow records and ensure smooth financial operations.
    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and balance sheets.
    Generate profit and loss statements, cost analysis, and other key financial documents.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
    Track all incoming payments from clients and retailers, ensuring receivables are collected on time.
    Follow up diligently with clients for outstanding payments and resolve any payment discrepancies.
    Manage outgoing payments to suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers while ensuring all payments are timely and in compliance with contract terms.
  • Invoicing & Billing:
    Prepare, issue, and monitor invoices to clients using Tally Prime software.
    Ensure accuracy in billing and timely delivery of invoices to clients.
    Manage debit/credit notes and handle any invoicing discrepancies.
  • VAT & Tax Filing:
    Handle VAT filing and ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and regulations.
    Prepare and submit VAT returns on a quarterly basis, ensuring all deadlines are met.
    Ensure proper documentation is maintained for VAT audits.
  • Bank Reconciliation & Transactions:
    Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly bank statements with company records.
    Ensure all bank transactions, both incoming and outgoing, are accurately recorded.
    Manage payments to employees, including payroll processing, and handle other financial transactions with the bank.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    Monitor the company's liquidity and ensure that the cash flow is managed effectively.
    Report any discrepancies or concerns regarding the company's financial health to management.
    Forecast future cash flow requirements and maintain a buffer for emergency expenses.
  • Inventory & Stock Management:
    Regularly monitor and track the stock levels of goods, ensuring that the inventory data in the system is accurate.
    Report on stock aging, slow-moving items, and liaise with sales to manage stock turnover.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    Provide daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to management, including cash flow statements, receivables, payables, and P&L reports.
    Conduct financial analysis to identify areas of cost reduction, budget variance, and opportunities for improvement.
    Present clear financial insights and actionable recommendations to improve company profitability.
  • Compliance & Audits:
    Ensure all financial records are up-to-date and accurate, following UAE regulations and international accounting standards.
    Assist in preparing for internal and external audits and ensure that proper documentation is available.
    Implement and maintain proper internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and financial records.
  • Tally Prime Operations:
    Maintain accurate and updated records on Tally Prime, including accounts payable, receivables, invoicing, and inventory management.
    Generate financial reports using Tally Prime and ensure data accuracy in the system.
  • Banking & Negotiation:
    Liaise with the company's banks for any financial matters.
    Negotiate with suppliers for favorable payment terms and ensure timely settlement of dues to avoid penalties.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    Monitor actual performance against the budget and report variances to management.
    Provide management with insights on cash flow projections, capital expenditure, and operational expenses.
  • General Administrative Duties:
    Oversee office administration related to finance, including vendor contracts, utility payments, and office-related expenditures.
    Work closely with other departments (sales, operations, logistics) to provide financial insights that assist in decision-making.
  • ERP and Financial System Upgrades:
    Collaborate with IT to enhance or improve the financial system for better performance and reporting.
    Ensure that the financial systems are updated and secure to avoid data breaches.
  • Payroll & Employee Records:
    Handle payroll processing for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
    Maintain accurate records of employee compensation, benefits, and deductions.
    Handle gratuity and end-of-service benefits calculations as per UAE labor laws.
  • Visa and Employee Administration:
    Coordinate with visa agents to process new visas and renew visas for existing employees.
    Ensure timely submission of visa-related documents to ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
    Maintain up-to-date employee visa records and work with external agents for visa cancellations when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
