Financial Controller

B&S Group is seeking a dynamic and strategic Financial Controller to oversee financial operations within our Government & Defense (G&D) business along with a wider overview of overall business segments. This role requires a results-driven professional with strong expertise in financial modeling, audit, and reporting, and the ability to drive financial performance in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial governance, compliance, and risk management, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.

1. Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for the Government & Defense business and other segments, including forecast and budgets.
2. Develop and implement advanced financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning.
3. Handle the month-end and year-end closing for assigned locations and entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of Balance Sheet & P&L.
4. Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making, such as cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and profitability assessments.
5. Develop and enforce internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy in financial records.
6. Develop strong working relationships with business partners.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred.
2. 4+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a financial controller role or audit role. Strong expertise in financial modeling, audit, and financial reporting.
3. In-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial regulations, and risk management principles.
4. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Strategic mindset with a results-oriented attitude.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
8. Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.
