Financial Controller

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the financial operations of Kibsons, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and local regulations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Monitor and manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure financial targets are achieved.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to support decision-making by senior management.
• Manage audits (internal and external) and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Lead the implementation and optimization of financial systems and ERP software.
• Supervise the preparation and filing of VAT and other statutory returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Monitor working capital requirements, including cash flow, receivables, and payables management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize costs and improve financial efficiency.
• Ensure effective risk management by identifying financial risks and developing mitigation plans.
• Manage a team of finance professionals, providing leadership, mentorship, and training.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in financial management roles. Prior experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in the retail, e-commerce, or FMCG sectors.
• Skills and Expertise: Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations. Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Advanced proficiency in financial systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Analytical mindset with a strong focus on attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial data effectively. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
