Financial Controller

Role Description and Purpose

We are looking for a Financial Controller, to undertake all aspects of financial control & analysis at UBO (“Ultimate Beneficial Owner”) Private office level for both corporate accounting and private accounting, including approval requests, review of monthly reporting, budget and annual financial statements, as well as coordination of developments related to internal control policies, procedures, systems implementations, other special projects and ad hoc analysis.

Role base: JLT, Dubai, UAE

Main responsibilities

• The role covers accounting for both companies under the Private Office, and private matters

• Coordinate with UBO and accounting team on approval of quotes, orders, invoices and payments

• Verify monthly reconciliations of debtors / creditors, banks, and loans accounts

• Review monthly closing and obtain relevant explanations on variances versus prior period and budget

• Review budget & forecast process (including treasury forecast and financing requirements)

• Review annual accounts

• Act as project coordinator for optimization of IT systems and reporting tools

• Provide guidance on drafting internal control policies and procedures

Role requirements

• 5+ years of overall experience in Finance

• Proven working experience within a Family / Private Office, or Family Holding for an UHNWI

• Master’s degree in business administration, or Finance

• Very strong analytical skills
