Financial Controller

Job Purpose:

Mustard & Linen Interior Design is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the company's financial health. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, strong expertise in Oracle, and a proven track record of working with parent companies. Preferably, the candidate will have prior experience in the retail industry.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and IFRS.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to maintain financial stability and support business growth.
3. Monthly Group Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the parent company (Aldar Group), aligning with corporate financial strategies.
4. Financial Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
5. Internal Controls & Risk Management: Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to enhance financial efficiency and reduce risks.
6. Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risks to ensure liquidity and cost control.
7. Accounting Systems & Compliance: Manage financial systems, leveraging Oracle for financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
8. Audit Coordination: Lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
9. Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to VAT, tax regulations, and financial laws in the UAE.
10. Strategic Financial Planning: Support business expansion strategies, financial modeling, and investment analysis to drive long-term success.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
2. 7+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the retail industry.
3. Strong expertise in Oracle ERP for financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
4. Experience in working with parent companies and managing financial reporting within a group structure.
5. Deep knowledge of UAE financial regulations, IFRS, and tax compliance.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
8. Ability to lead financial teams and implement best practices in financial controls.
