As an All Round Financial and Administrative Officer, you will help steer the financial-administrative policy in the dynamic environment of Merrachi. A fast-growing fashion company with a strong position in the Netherlands that is now taking further steps abroad with the opening of their new Dubai office. You will be given a lot of responsibility and asked to actively contribute to the further optimisation of the administrative organisation and automation of processes.
You will independently perform general ledger, asset, accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Your goal is to keep careful, correct and complete accounts. Naturally, you provide information to management and other colleagues within the organisation and vice versa. This within the set frameworks and external legislation. In this, you have an organisational and advisory role. All this from a proactive attitude. In this role you will report into the CFO and CEO of Merrachi.
Tasks and activities
- Debtor management such as sending reminders, preparing payment agreements and forwarding default notices to credit insurer
- Memorandum entries such as salary journal entries, general ledger corrections, depreciation, revaluation and accruals
- Contact and consultation with purchasing and sales department
- Checking general ledger accounts, suspense accounts and stock reconciliation with financial administration
- Daily operations such as entering purchase and cost invoices, checking sales invoices and entering bank mutations
- Maintaining payroll records and transferring salaries to all employees
- Keeping contact with government agencies in order to fully manage visa applications for our employees
- Various activities such as maintaining exchange rates, revaluation, creating and maintaining depreciation statements and monthly closures and reports
What do you need
- You are in possession of a Bachelor degree, preferably in business administration, supplemented by relevant work experience
- You are digitally literate, a good knowledge of Excel is important
- Knowledge of and experience with various financial systems is desirable
- You have an eye for detail, as well as excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- You are deadline-oriented
- You have integrity and are reliable
