Job description

The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting FH Capital Management to execute financial advisory mandates; including private placements, mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt raising, valuation, feasibility studies, and other corporate finance transactions.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models, LBO models, feasibility studies, analyze financial statements, and draft presentations and various other documents such as prospectuses, information memorandums, teasers, investor presentations, etc.
  • Undertake valuation analysis of companies (both publicly listed and private companies) using Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, traded and transaction comparable analysis, NAV, Precedent Transactions, Private Equity valuation, and other relevant methodologies.
  • Participate in advisory transaction structuring and execution, in addition to liaising and coordinating with various internal departments e.g. legal, compliance, internal audit, finance, as well as regulatory authorities, external law firms, and consultants, as required.
  • Arrange, coordinate, and participate in marketing transactions alongside the project’s Team Leader(s) and assist in the identification of potential counterparties/investors.
  • Assist in the management of financial, legal, and commercial due diligence processes.
  • Identify and short-list potential opportunities, investors, and targets for both advisory mandates.
  • Create Public Information Books (PIBs) for projects, marketing meetings, and investment opportunities.
  • Draft memos to client investment committees with detailed IRR and valuation sensitivities analysis to assist the committee in making investment decisions.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, valuations, financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Inter-personal skills, flexibility, adaptability, and team orientation.

Qualification

  • Must have a successful academic track record at a reputed Business School, preferably with a Corporate Finance emphasis.
  • Preferably with CFA/CIP/Certificate in Quantitative Finance qualification and SCA financial analyst license (or certification which may lead to partial exemption).

Experience

  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in an Investment Bank / Capital Market Institutions / Family Office / Big 4 Advisory Services Firm.
  • Must have previous exposure to excel financial modelling with a solid understanding of Corporate Finance valuation methods.
