Job description

Our client is a leading real estate development company in the UAE, seeking a qualified Finance Manager (GL & Reporting) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with significant experience in real estate finance, including tax, VAT, budgeting, and management information system (MIS) reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the entire general ledger process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in compliance with UAE regulations and company policies, adhering to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process by preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support financial decision-making.
  4. Tax and VAT Compliance: Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, including VAT filings and other statutory requirements relevant to the real estate sector.
  5. Management Information Systems (MIS): Develop and maintain effective management reporting frameworks that provide insights into financial performance and operational efficiency.
  6. Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment between financial objectives and overall business goals.
  8. Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented team environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Chartered Accountant: Must hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  3. Minimum of 5-7 years of finance management experience, preferably within the real estate development sector.
  4. In-depth knowledge of UAE tax laws, particularly regarding VAT, and strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  5. Proficient experience in budgeting, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.
  6. Familiarity with financial software and tools; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location: UAE

Salary: AED 25,000 - AED 30,000 per month
