Job Purpose: To oversee and lead the execution of all aspects of payroll operations and salary processing for both EKFC and its Joint Venture employees while ensuring compliance with established company guidelines, governance, policies, DOA, relevant regulations, UAE labour law, and implementing best practices in payroll administration.
Key Result Areas:
Manage and oversee the payroll process, final settlements, employee benefit and leave salary payments of EKFC and Joint venture employees while conforming to service level agreements, company policies, and regulatory requirements to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the process and confidentiality of payroll information and compliance with data protection regulations.
Conduct regular reviews and monthly reconciliation of payroll and employee deduction accounts to ensure timely recovery and avoid error/duplicate payments.
Assist management in providing information and details related to Actuarial Valuation to ensure adherence to accounting standards and EKFC's books are up to date.
Compile detailed annual CTC and manpower budget reports, incorporating prudent estimates and assumptions, consistent with budgetary guidelines and confirmed by the HR Compensation & Benefits team within the specified timeline.
Prepare and analyze quarterly manpower reports to ensure actual costs and headcounts align with approved budget, highlight variations and facilitating management review for data driven decision-making.
Maintain effective business relationships, and handle inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters from employees, HR, management, auditors and other internal and external stakeholder groups.
Stay updated on payroll regulations and compliance requirements, implementing necessary changes to ensure adherence.
Analyse current systems and identify opportunities for improvement by working with relevant stakeholders in initiating revised work methods and the implementation of system enhancements to ensure continual optimization and standardization of processes and systems.
Lead finance payroll team members by providing guidance, development, training, and feedback.
Contribute insights for new systems or projects related to employee salary payments. Maintain thorough documentation of requirements, test scenarios, results with detailed notes, project trackers, and anticipated completion dates for future reference.
Education Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or commerce or equivalent
Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA is required
Work Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in payroll management with 4 years preferably in a managerial role in a large and diversified organization with over 10,000 employees
In-depth knowledge of applicable salary process, financial chart of accounts, corporate procedures and UAE labour law, regulations and best practices
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting and payroll software as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage, delegate, motivate and monitor team activities effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to identify, highlight and adhere to the appropriate company policies, delegation of authority (DOA), and updated labour laws in various scenarios and situations.
