We are a fast-growing GRC consulting and technology organization with a presence in several countries including the UAE, KSA, UK & Ireland, Pakistan, Canada, and Qatar. We provide Regulatory Compliance, AML, Risk Management, Regulatory Finance, Training, Internal Audit, HR & Recruitment, and Technology services to many clients including global, regional, and local financial services institutions, governments, and other industry partners.
As part of our global expansion plan, we are now looking for an ambitious and dynamic leader with a strong background in corporate tax to join our UAE team.
Job Purpose
We are seeking an outstanding tax professional to deliver top quality client experiences, maintaining the best standard of care in tax services in the Middle East. You will help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. The role will involve advising clients on their overseas tax affairs, while also helping them navigate recent global tax developments.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Corporate Tax Advice

• Advise clients on the planning implications of international projects.
• Liaise with global tax partners to ensure clients are tax compliant in various jurisdictions.
• Successful delivery of tax compliance and advisory projects for a broad range of local and international clients across the financial services sector.
• Work with management in preparing detailed technical advice in relation to various tax issues.
• Managing and building strong client relationships in both compliance and consulting projects.
• Delivers high quality tax engagements for Senior Management to review in a timely manner.
• Actively undertakes business development in conjunction with senior management with existing as well as new/potential clients with a view to generating projects and revenue for the tax practice and for other functions of the Firm.
• Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients.
• Contribute to winning new work through existing and new clients.
• Ensure that risk processes are always adhered to; consults internally and with the risk team for engagement and/or client processes that deviate from the standard.
• Participates in developing formal training plans and implementation of the training plan for team members.
• Communicates regularly with the team on client, people, risk, and practice management aspects and seeks inputs on all key decisions and issues.

2. Personal Responsibilities

Experience (essential to any successful application)

• You will have at least 10 years of relevant work experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
• A professional (tax or accounting) qualification (e.g., ACA, CTA, ADIT, ACCA or equivalent) is preferred.
• Prior experience in a client-facing role is essential, preferably within the Big 4.
• Experience in withholding tax process will be preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree from a leading university with concentration preferably in finance, accounting, or economics.
• Candidates with ACA, CTA, ADIT, ACCA or equivalent.
