Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager with expertise in commodity and commercial finance, particularly within the diamond trading industry. The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health of the organization by managing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management within the commodities sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
   Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.
   Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
2. Financial Operations and Management:
   Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management.
   Monitor and manage working capital to ensure financial stability.
3. Commodity and Trade Finance:
   Manage financing and transactions related to diamond trading.
   Evaluate and mitigate financial risks specific to commodity trading.
   Coordinate with banks and financial institutions to secure trade finance facilities.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
   Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and industry standards.
   Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
   Oversee audits and ensure proper documentation.
5. Profitability Analysis and Cost Control:
   Conduct profitability analysis and recommend cost-saving measures.
   Analyze trading margins and propose strategies for improvement.
6. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
   Lead and mentor the finance team to enhance efficiency and performance.
   Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with business operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Proven experience as a Finance Manager, preferably in the diamond trading or commodity trading sector.
2. Strong understanding of financial management principles specific to commodities and trading.
3. Proficiency in financial software and tools for analysis and reporting.
4. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong knowledge of trade finance instruments, including letters of credit and guarantees.
6. Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CPA or CFA certification preferred).
