Job Overview:

We are seeking the perfect candidate with a proactive mindset, a strong inclination towards collaboration, and the capacity to provide recommendations in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Moreover, we are in search of a team player who possesses leadership experience and is prepared to assume responsibility for the position, enhance execution, and establish standardized processes.

Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Implements financial and accounting best practices and oversees critical accounting procedures.
  2. Provide operational finance mentorship to teams.
  3. Prepare and share timely, accurate financial information for planning and decision-making.
  4. Take ownership of ongoing reports with validation and supporting documentation.
  5. Identify opportunities for process improvement.
  6. First point of contact for all Onshore Finance escalation related queries.
  7. Trains, supervises, coaches, assesses, and provides performance feedback to Senior Manager.
  8. Assists and supports upper-level management to ensure sound financial decision-making that is in the long-term best interest of the organizational mission.
  9. Banking: First point of contact for all banking queries and co-ordinate with Offshore team for banking related matters.
  10. Petty Cash: Manage and Oversee Cash counters and authorise all cash transactions in system and ensure cash accounts closure daily.
  11. Tax Return and Filing: Responsible for preparing monthly VAT calculations and Quarterly return filing, Corporate tax filing and addressing any tax related queries.
  12. Fixed Assets: Manage fixed assets and ensure all assets are properly recorded in system and FA software and conduct a monthly FA audit. Reconcile system with FA software and send the report to management, capitalising and depreciating on accounting system in line with appropriate policy.
  13. Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly management accounts (MIS) on accruals basis, highlighting variances with budget, for review by Finance Meeting; provide other financial reports and updates to Management as requested.
  14. Annual Financials: Responsible for preparing financial statements as per relevant accounting standards and completion of audit on time.
  15. Review all AP/AR reports before forwarding to senior management.
  16. Workload management: Effectively manage the financial workload to ensure work is delivered to agreed timelines and that plans are integrated with all staff activities and goals.
  17. Staff responsibility for direct reports.
  18. Support audits and other financial reviews as needed.
  19. Support in doing any other task assigned by Senior Managers.

Qualification and Skill set requirements

  1. Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline.
  2. Any professional degree - CA, CMA, CPA will be considered an added advantage.
  3. Proven experience in accounting or financial management, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  4. Self-starter with strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proven financial leadership to support Business leaders in a high-growth setting.
  6. Possesses robust analytical skills and can translate complex data into simple, understandable information.
  7. Hardworking, proactive, and dynamic individual comfortable working in teams or independently.
  8. Validated experience, preferably in a global, fast-paced, multi-site high-tech environment.
  9. Thorough understanding of financial regulations, and tax laws.
  10. Excellent in MS Excel and keyboard shortcuts, Experience in any other reporting tool will be an added advantage.
  11. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle) is an added advantage.
  12. Proven leadership qualities, including the capacity to inspire and lead a team.
  13. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, with the capacity to oversee several projects and adhere to deadlines.
  14. Strong organizational abilities, including the capacity to set priorities and use time wisely.
