About the Role
As we continue to grow and contribute to the nation’s artistic excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our dynamic team and ensure financial integrity across the organization.
As a key member of the UAE National Orchestra, the Finance Manager will ensure financial integrity and compliance while supporting the organization's growth. The role involves preparing accurate financial reports, managing general ledger activities, and overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes. Responsibilities also include handling accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow, and optimizing liquidity. The Finance Manager will develop internal controls, lead process improvements, and mentor the finance team. Additionally, they will provide financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making and contribute to long-term financial planning.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UAE financial regulations. Oversee all statutory and regulatory reporting, liaising with external auditors to ensure audit compliance.
General Ledger and Month-End Close: Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the Operations Director in developing annual budgets and providing monthly budget vs. actual reports. Contribute to long-term financial planning and forecasting.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Monitor aging receivables and collaborate with departments to expedite collections.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to ensure financial stability. Optimize liquidity and minimize financial risk through effective cash management.
Internal Controls and Process Improvement: Develop and implement internal control policies to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with other departments to automate and enhance accounting processes.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a small team of accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and support team training and development.
Financial Analysis and Decision Support: Provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Assist with cost tracking, project accounting, and ad-hoc financial projects.
