Finance Data Analyst

We are looking to hire a Finance Data Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing and preparing finance data for our client based in Dubai - one of the largest companies in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and it is renewable based on performance.

The role sits within the Finance Excellence Department and reports directly to the Director of Finance Excellence.

We are seeking a skilled Finance Data Scientist who has experience working with finance data and a strong ability to generate actionable insights. This role requires proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, with a focus on improving procurement processes and strategies through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Gather, organize, and validate financial data from various sources, such as accounting systems, databases, and external reports.
2. Create dashboards, visualizations, and financial models using tools like Power BI or Excel.
3. Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data audits and reconciliations.
4. Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights for financial decision-making.
5. Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for efficient integration of financial data from various sources.
6. Utilize Python and SQL to perform data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
7. Collaborate with finance, IT, and executive teams to design and implement advanced analytics solutions.
8. Create interactive dashboards and reports for visualizing financial metrics and KPIs.
9. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all analyses and reports.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. 4-8 years of relevant experience in data analyst roles.
2. Proven experience working with finance data in a data science or analytical role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Python, and SQL.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate actionable insights from complex data sets.
5. Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Experience with predictive data modelling techniques.
