Key Accountabilities:
- Develop, manage and religiously track budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic planning.
- Prepare presentations for CFO and leadership team and the Board on month-end financials, budgets and financial plans.
- Prepare analysis based on monthly income statement, balance sheets, and other financial statements.
- Review month-end closing done by accounting to ensure accruals and estimates are done properly.
- Review daily non-operational KPIs (commercial, operational etc.) to provide insight and support strategic planning to CFO and leadership team.
- Track OPEX and CAPEX budget line by line and ensure spending is in line with the budget.
- Manage the accounting policy, ensuring that it is up-to-date and latest changes in IFRS and Group policies are implemented.
- Analyze complex financial transactions and reports, determining accounting reserves, capitalizing of assets, and expense recognition, among other judgments.
- Coordinate with Group Controlling team for month-end Group Controlling reporting requests.
- Prepare and submit financial reports requested by Central Bank of the UAE.
- Participate in annual and interim audits.
- Contribute to and define financial control processes and procedures.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies:
Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in Controlling functions in financial and fintech institutions.
Skills:
- Strong accounting knowledge, with proven experience with IFRS.
- Expertise in analyzing financial statements and non-financial KPIs.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with key stakeholders.
- A structural and logical approach to solving problems.
- Strong analytical skills and a hands-on attitude.
- Experience within a fast-growing organization.
- Ability to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
