Amazon is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with the 3P Country Leader and senior stakeholders responsible for our fast-growing product categories in the MENA-TR region.
As a finance leader, you will be expected to push a high control environment, drive innovation in both the business and finance processes, and provide a long-term vision for creating successful businesses that deliver strong financial performance, whilst not compromising on customer experience and trust.
In this role, you will be expected to drive relationships with Category Leaders, Heads of Seller Services (HoSSs), and Program owners. You will take the finance lead for all initiatives, planning processes, and metrics for periodic reviews. Keeping customer experience front of mind, you will drive cost-out initiatives, touching all aspects of the value chain. You will help the business deliver ambitious growth targets, benchmark performance with other marketplaces, and establish plans and forecasts.
You will continuously audit business inputs and processes to ensure that strong financial controls remain fit for purpose. You will be required to dive deep into every aspect of the business to drive improvement and use data and strong business judgment to drive the right long-term decisions.
You will lead the effort to develop tools that deliver insightful analysis and reporting to support decision-making and monitor performance. You will be skilled in extracting insights from large volumes of data and effectively communicate with your business partners on how to act on these insights. You will be working closely with senior leadership in the region and expected to interact with Finance teams across other Emerging Stores and other finance functions (e.g., Accounting, and FP&A).
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; will be a creative and analytical problem solver with a history of strong leadership skills in managing stakeholders and driving results. This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.
The candidate shall act as a finance business partner for the country and across a variety of new programs and processes.
- 7+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- 7+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 7+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 7+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 7+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 7+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 7+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
