Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and execute outage activities in accordance with Nawah standards and procedures:
  2. Fuel Receipt including unloading and storage of the fuel shipping cask and handling, inspection, and storage of fuel assemblies.
  3. Initial Fuel Loading including handling of the neutron source, calibration of neutron flux monitoring, inspection and interlock tests of fuel handling equipment, installation of underwater lighting in the reactor core, transfer of dummy fuel assembly to the RCB, and repositioning of the temporary fuel load channel.
  4. Reactor Pressure Vessel (IHA) Integrated Head Assembly Disassembly & Re-assembly including vessel internals such as Upper Guide Structure (UGS) & Core Support Barrel (CSB).
  5. Removal and re-installation of components such as pressure boundary, push and pull cables, 54 Reactor Vessel-Stud bolts and plugs, stud hole inspection & plug installation.
  6. Core Loading & Unloading.
  7. Management of Fuel Handling Systems and Equipment, including inspection, testing, and maintenance of third-party certificates for lifting and rigging equipment/accessories.
  8. Management and maintenance of FHA overhead crane and RCB Polar crane.
  9. Management of special tools and materials.
  10. Prepare documentation for required work packages including Work Order, Job Hazard Analysis, Work Method Statement, Final Report, etc.
  11. Development and improvement based on OE of all fuel handling equipment related procedures.
  12. Support and oversee the inspection and repair of fuel handling equipment.
  13. Perform Foreign Object Search and Retrieval (FOSAR) for the Fuel Handling Area and Reactor Refueling Pool.
  14. Contribute to plans development and schedules optimization of reactor vessel disassembly and reassembly activities.
  15. Support availability of all infrastructure requirements (power, air, cooling, lighting, water filters, shielding, etc.) to ensure that when activities are ready to work, work can be performed.
  16. Maintain overall refuel floor and spent fuel building cleanliness via approved Foreign Materials Exclusion (FME) programs to ensure successful FME prevention and facilitate Containment inspection closure.
  17. Coordinate between all containment working departments, vendor organizations, and the Outage Control Center (OCC) as necessary to maintain schedule performance.
  18. Report to Fuel Handling management team potential areas of schedule or performance risk in relation to Reactor Vessel and Fuel movement works to the Head of Containment and OCC Management to identify mitigation strategies proactively.
