About the Role:

H2S Safety Technician to support daily operations activity. Assist in Airloop and Gas Detection System activities. Perform inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling, and testing tasks for LSA and FFE yearly certification.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance of breathing apparatus.
2. Periodic maintenance of breathing apparatus, including routine/monthly inspection of equipment at site.
3. Inspection and maintenance of barge cascade system and air loop system inside TEMPSC.
4. Periodic maintenance of personal & portable gas detectors.
5. Generate and maintain logbook and record movement, inspection, spare parts, repair, replacement history, and certifications.
6. Conduct services in accordance with the contract to maintain compliance with EN136, EN137, EN402, and other relevant standards.
7. Repair equipment to ensure that all equipment is functional and ready to use.
8. Maintain a document of hydro test of cylinders; inform hirer of cylinders due for hydro test for further actions.
9. Submit weekly progress report to hirer site representative including service details.
10. Conduct air quality test (AQT) from the sampling point to measure H2O, CO2, CO, Oil Mist, Odour, and O2 on a weekly basis using air quality test kit provided by the client, and submit the report to the hirer site representative.
11. Keep records of H2S safety gears updated during periodic intervals for internal & external audits.
12. Induction training for incoming crew & briefing them on the hazards of H2S & HC gas & usability of breathing apparatus.
13. Provide periodic report of spares required for maintaining safety gears onboard & updating the same to the concerned person.
14. Update the authorized person if equipment is due for certification.
15. Calibration & bump test of personal & portable gas detectors on a monthly basis & recertification of the same.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years as H2S engineer.
• Knowledge of LSA and FFE code is a must.
• Certifications:
• H2S
• TBOSIET (OPITO) is preferred.
