Job Summary: As a Field Service Engineer (FSE), you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for advanced robotic solutions in spot & stretch products environment. This role involves installing, maintaining, optimizing, and repairing robotic systems on-site, ensuring seamless integration, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with customers to optimize the program, provide training, and carry out emergency repairs and routine maintenance to ensure the systems are functioning efficiently and meeting the customer’s specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Provide on-site troubleshooting and emergency repairs for robotic systems, ensuring minimal downtime and quick recovery of operations.
- System Optimization & Maintenance: Optimize robotic systems and software for enhanced performance. Conduct routine maintenance and servicing, identifying issues before they impact system functionality.
- Installations & Integrations: Lead installations of new robotic systems, ensuring seamless integration into the customer’s warehouse environment. This includes system configuration, setup, and calibration.
- Customer Training & Support: Provide hands-on training to customers, ensuring they fully understand system operation and maintenance procedures. Offer ongoing support to resolve any questions or issues post-installation.
- Warranty Management: Address warranty-related issues, ensuring proper procedures are followed and customers are fully supported.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services provided, including troubleshooting, repairs, parts replaced, and training conducted. Ensure that service reports are up-to-date and submitted on time.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams (engineering, product development, customer support) to relay customer feedback and assist in product improvements or troubleshooting escalations.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors / Masters in any field.
- Experience: Previous experience in field service engineering, robotics, or automated systems in a warehouse setting is highly preferred. Experience with troubleshooting, installations, and maintenance of robotic systems is a must.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of robotic systems, automation, and software troubleshooting.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex technical problems quickly and efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively explain technical concepts to customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Customer-Focused: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Flexibility & Availability: Willingness to travel frequently for site visits and work in various environments.
Work Environment: Deployed in industrial settings and suburban environments. Driver’s License is a MUST.
