Al-Futtaim Logistics is a leading Supply Chain Management company in Dubai, UAE, with our major shareholder being one of the largest business houses in the lower Gulf region. Al-Futtaim logistics started as a small warehouse for Al-Futtaim products about 25 years ago and has developed over the years into one of the largest logistics service providers in the UAE. We have nearly 700 people on our diverse team from 20 different countries.

We offer superior pan-Arab supply chain management solutions including warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding as well as IT solutions and Supply Chain Design and Consulting. The company has an international network of offices and agents for overseas freight and warehousing and distribution centres in all major UAE cities and ports. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Field Sales Manager to be a part of the Freight Division of Al Futtaim Logistics. The main purpose is to drive commercial growth of Freight Forwarding business and manage additional business from existing customers whilst managing multiple relationships internally and externally.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

1. Manage & deliver Field Sales budget set for the financial year
2. Identify and develop new client base
3. Develop strong presence of AFL in UAE's freight forwarding market
4. Liaise with other sales channels, including network partners, regarding customers of global potential
5. Evaluate sales successes and failures to optimize efforts and identify issues
6. Business development by value addition selling
7. EDI process & update - as necessary
8. Ensure retention of client 100%
9. Performance reporting

To be successfully considered for this role, you must have the following experience, skills, knowledge & competencies:

1. Must be a graduate, preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics management
2. Must have extensive Sales Management experience in freight forwarding industries
3. Must have International freight forwarding experience
4. Must have in depth knowledge of all UAE import and export regulations
5. Must be a leader with a strategic, analytical approach to business
6. Must be able to communicate and present in both verbal and written English
7. Must have strong planning and organization skills
8. Must have good knowledge of MS Office applications; SAP awareness is an added advantage!
9. Must have the ability to motivate and coach direct reports
10. Must be results orientated
