Field Engineer Civil

Job Scope:

Lead Civil Engineer – Minimum ten (10) years of experience in design and construction, with at least 7 years in civil major works. Graduate from an accredited university. Strong knowledge of Conceptual Design, FEED and Detailed Engineering of Civil scope in projects. Experience in foundations, marinas and GBS - gravity base structures - engineering. Experience in analysis and design for large projects.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Review Customer technical requirements and ensure these are incorporated in EPC Contractors project related specifications and design drawings.
2. Collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of engineering activities. Engineering Reports are often a work product.
3. Review and/or development of project deliverables including:
1. CSA procedures
2. Technical specifications
3. Conceptual design
4. Geotechnical Reports
5. Onshore Structural Steelwork
6. Foundation and building/structural designs
7. Underground layouts and pipework
8. Preparation of cost estimate input.
4. Coordinating Civil related issues with the other disciplines.
5. Ensuring overall quality of the Civil design by performing regular reviews.
6. Participating in formal 3D plant model reviews.
7. Acting as a technical resource to others in own area and to colleagues with less experience.
8. Understanding customer needs and identifying solutions to nonstandard requests.

Minimum Requirements:

The Lead Discipline should have 10 years post-graduate experience in the stated discipline, at least 7 of which must have been in the relevant industry on projects relevant to the type of projects being supported by this agreement, and with demonstrable ability to operate at the level defined.

Must Have:

• 10 years minimum in the stated discipline
• Civil Engineering leadership experience on large EPC projects
• Knowledge of civil, structural, underground and architectural design and engineering.
• Good knowledge of Geotechnical engineering principles
• Experience in foundations, marinas and GBS (gravity base structures)
• Must be able to demonstrate significant knowledge of European, American and International standards applicable to the petrochemical industry (as relevant to the CSA discipline)
• A relevant engineering degree from an accredited university
• Member of an appropriate engineering institution
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
