Job Description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conducts daily briefing for Housekeeping Attendants.
  2. Conducts daily inspection of employee grooming.
  3. Inspects all guest rooms, corridors and pantries on a daily basis to ensure highest standard of cleanliness.
  4. Conducts on the job training for all Housekeeping Attendants.
  5. Maintains effective employee relations.
  6. Checks and maintains equipment and machines used.
  7. Prepares job orders and coordinates with Engineering for follow up.
  8. Ensures special attention is given to VIP rooms.
  9. Attends daily briefing with EKH/AEH in Housekeeping.
  10. Reports any sick, irregular guest, and any stranger in guest corridors to the Housekeeper, Security Office immediately.
  11. Handles proper handover and take over of the incoming and outgoing shifts.
  12. Reports all Lost & Found items to Housekeeping.
  13. Prepares discrepancy report for the front office.
  14. Conducts fumigation for the rooms and floors.
  15. Follows up on “Do not Disturb” rooms.
  16. Prepares inventory for room linen.
  17. Notifies Housekeeper of any damage caused by guests.
  18. Checks and follows all maintenance reports if the work is incomplete.
  19. Waters and changes all flowers as per schedule requirement.
  20. Ensures that all flower arrangements look pleasant before delivery to the rooms.
  21. While inspecting guest rooms and other areas, there should be an eye for detail.
  22. Daily physical inspection of occupied, vacant and checkout rooms to be done at 1300 hours.
  23. Ensures maid trolleys are parked well in the guest corridors and while cleaning rooms, the trolleys must be parked properly at the guest room entrance.
  24. Monitors the Key Issue no. 3 / Entering/Leaving a guest’s room is followed by the room attendant.
  25. Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, property and hygiene of guest rooms, corridors and service areas.
  26. Oversees the work of PA attendant.
  27. Handles all service matters to guests in the station.
  28. Responsible for supervising the activities of Housekeeping Attendants.
  29. Checks all check-out rooms and guest rooms.
  30. Is fully aware of the Rixelence of the day.
  31. Maintains proper grooming at all times.
  32. Shows fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
  33. Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities.

Qualifications

University Degree in any field, Minimum 2 years in a similar role with a five-star hotel.
