Position Overview
We are looking for a Female Consultant General Surgeon to join our client's reputable hospital in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized surgical services to patients by performing minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries. The surgeon will work closely with a team of medical professionals, including nurses, anesthetists, and fellow surgeons, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective surgical care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conducting initial consultations with patients to assess their medical histories and diagnose conditions requiring surgery.
2. Developing comprehensive surgical treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs and medical conditions.
3. Performing a wide range of minimally invasive surgeries using laparoscopic techniques, including but not limited to gallbladder removal, hernia repair, and appendectomy.
4. Managing post-operative care and monitoring patients' recovery progress to ensure positive outcomes.
5. Collaborating with other medical professionals to provide multidisciplinary care and optimize patient outcomes.
6. Participating in team meetings and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the surgical department.
7. Staying up-to-date with advancements in surgical techniques and technologies, and incorporating them into practice.
8. Providing guidance and support to junior medical staff, including residents and fellows.

Qualifications And Requirements

1. Completion of advanced specialty training in General Surgery (MRCOG, DABOG, or equivalent).
2. Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
3. Strong experience in performing minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries.
4. Exceptional technical skills and knowledge of the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
5. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
6. Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
7. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
8. Must be Western-trained.
