Job Description

The Facility Management Operations Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance and management of all facilities across all Company projects. The FM Operations Manager will ensure operational efficiency, maintain high standards of safety, security, and environmental compliance, and enhance the functionality, comfort, and safety of our facilities. This role demands a strong leader with excellent organizational, strategic planning, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day facility management operations, ensuring services are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintenance Supervision: Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for building systems, equipment, and infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance.
  • Vendor and Contract Management: Negotiate and manage service contracts with third-party vendors, ensuring quality and compliance with company standards and UAE regulations.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Implement and enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations in line with UAE standards to provide a safe working environment.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the facility management budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of facility management professionals, including training on safety, maintenance, and operational best practices.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for internal clients, addressing and resolving facility issues and providing updates on ongoing projects.
  • Quality Control and Continuous Improvement: Establish and implement quality control measures, conducting regular inspections to ensure facilities meet operational standards and support continual process improvement initiatives.
  • Project Management: Plan and oversee renovation or construction projects to improve facilities as needed, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards.
  • Asset Management: Track and manage facility assets, ensuring their longevity and efficient utilization.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or certifications in Facility Management (e.g., IFMA, FMP, CFM) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in facility management, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the UAE.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), safety regulations, and preventive maintenance.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and lead teams effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
